In honour of Nelson Mandela Day on the 18th of July, KFC Add Hope together with one of its 110 beneficiaries JAM SA, helped pack 1000 food parcels in just 67 minutes, for the children supported by Add Hope. KFC team members together with KFC Facebook fans joined in to show their support in celebrating a day in which all South African’s can honour making a change in the lives of others.
On Friday 29 July, KFC Add Hope and JAM SA handed over a portion of the 1000 food parcels to Miracle Day Care Centre in Eikenhof. “Nelson Mandela Day is such a great initiative and an opportune time to continue to give back to communities in which KFC serves. The ultimate goal for Add Hope is to feed more children across the country, helping them to learn, grow and thrive to be future leaders,” says Mike Middleton, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC Africa.
Running all year round, Add Hope is a national feeding initiative, allowing KFC customers to purchase ‘hope’ off the menu for just R2. Since its inception in 2009, KFC’s corporate social responsibility programme Add Hope has made great strides in making a meaningful difference and today Add Hope feeds over 100 000 children across South Africa every day, and providing children with nutritional meals.
