At KFC, we are 100% committed to the wellbeing, safety and hygiene of our team members and guests. Yes, that means all of you!

With the current Covid-19 pandemic, we’re doing everything we can to prevent the spread by tightening our clean-as-you-go policies even more. These include keeping our restaurants spotlessly clean, team member temperature checks, safety & quality of food, packaging and more. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Our restaurants are kept spotless by sanitising all surfaces every 30 minutes
  • Our team members wash and sanitise their hands every 30 minutes
  • All our team members and delivery drivers undergo temperature checks
  • Our food is prepared at over 170 degrees and held above 60 degrees
  • Once our chicken leaves the fryer, the only hands that touch it are yours
  • All delivery bags are disinfected and sanitised before and after every order
  • We offer you contact-free delivery, with deliveries sealed for your safety

Introducing our Hygiene Heroes

Our team members, AKA Hygiene Heroes, are specially trained to keep our restaurants spotlessly clean. They are always present in our restaurants, ensuring that all surfaces are sanitised every 30 minutes.


Only the safest deliveries for you

We want to ensure that your online orders land safely at your doorstep. So we’ve partnered with Mr D Food and Uber Eats to make sure your deliveries are safe and contact free, but we didn’t stop there. We’ve also implemented a strict sanitation process before the delivery driver walks through our doors, making sure their hands and their delivery bags are fully sanitised before your food is packed.

  • Your delivery drivers’ hands are sanitised as they enter our restaurant
  • Their bags are also sanitised inside and out
  • Once your food is packed we seal it with a tamper proof delivery sticker
  • The drivers’ temperature is checked and recorded on a sticker which includes the cook, packer and delivery driver temperature, this sticker is then placed on your bag for your peace of mind

Our dining areas and Drive-Thru’s will remain closed for now, but you can still enjoy your favourites by ordering for delivery from Saturday 02 May 2020 (9am to 7pm daily, with last orders at 6:30pm) from selected restaurants via Mr D Food, Uber Eats or direct via telephone.


With all of these world-class safety protocols in place in every KFC store, it’s clear that we’re committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our team members, guests and suppliers, even going beyond the strict standards, procedures and processes laid out by government.
